# Get the current user

`GET /users/me`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.whatnot.com/seller-api/rest/v2`

  - Authorization code: `https://api.whatnot.com/seller-api/rest/oauth/authorize`

Retrieve the seller authenticated by the calling application's token.

Successful Response

- User
  - `id` string, required: The user's ID, encoded as a decimal string.
  - `username` string, required: The user's username.
  - `display_name` string, nullable, required: The user's display name, if set.
  - `image` Media, required
    - `id` string, nullable: The image's id.
    - `url` string, required: On create, the image URL to ingest. On read, the CDN URL of the ingested image.
    - `alt` string, nullable: The image's alt text / label, if set.
  - `seller_currency` string, required: The seller's ISO 4217 currency code.
  - `country_code` string, nullable, required: The user's ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code.
  - `can_go_live` boolean, required: Whether the user is allowed to go live.

## Other responses

- `401`: A valid seller API token is required.
