# Commit on a branch

`POST /entries/{entryId}/branches/{branchId}/commits`

## Request

`expectedHeadCommitId` is an optimistic-concurrency check: send the head the edit was based on and a commit that landed meanwhile is rejected rather than silently overwritten.
