# Fluids for the vehicle a VIN decodes to.

`GET /v1/vin/{vin}/fluids`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://open.wenmarpro.com`
- URL: `https://open.wenmarpro.com/v1/vin/{vin}/fluids`
- Auth: none declared

When the decode settles the engine, `engine_oil` holds the one entry
of that engine, or none, and each hand-read list holds the records of
that engine and those recorded for every engine. Otherwise each holds
every engine's.

## Path parameters

- `vin` string, required

## Query parameters

- `year` integer

## Response `200`

## Other responses

- `400`: `invalid_vin`, or `validation_failed` for `year`.
- `404`: `not_found`: no manufacturer is registered for the first three characters. `dataset_unavailable`: this server holds neither oil grades nor hand-read fluids.
