# Fuel consumption ratings of a model year.

`GET /v1/vehicles/{id}/fuel`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://open.wenmarpro.com`
- URL: `https://open.wenmarpro.com/v1/vehicles/{id}/fuel`
- Auth: none declared

EPA's ratings and Natural Resources Canada's, each matched to the
model year. `confidence` says how far: `model`, `engine` or
`submodel`. `engine` is the catalog engine only when the match settled
one. `l_100km` and `mpg` (US gallons) are the same figures in two
units; both are null for a fuel not sold by the litre.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `country` string

## Response `200`

The ratings, EPA's first, each by engine size.

- VehicleFuel: The fuel ratings of one model year.
  - `as_of` FuelAsOf, required: The day each country's fuel ratings were current. Null for a country this server holds no ratings for.
    - `ca` string, nullable
    - `us` string, nullable
  - `attribution` string[], required
  - `ratings` FuelRating[], required
    - `co2_g_km` integer, nullable: Tailpipe carbon dioxide, combined.
    - `confidence` string, required: How far the rating was matched: `model` (the model year only), `engine` (one engine) or `submodel` (an engine and a trim).
    - `country` string, required: `us` or `ca`.
    - `cylinders` integer, nullable
    - `described_as` string, required: The source's own name for the vehicle rated.
    - `displacement_l` number, double, nullable
    - `drive` string, nullable
    - `engine` EngineRef: A catalog engine of the model year.
      - `id` string, required: The engine's id form, as in a vehicle id.
      - `label` string, required
      - `vin8` string, nullable: The characters in position 8 of a VIN that mean this engine.
    - `fuel_grade` string, required: The fuel the figures are for, which is the recommended grade.
    - `kwh_100km` number, double, nullable: Combined electricity use.
    - `l_100km` Consumption: City, highway and combined consumption in litres per 100 km.
      - `city` number, double, nullable
      - `combined` number, double, nullable
      - `highway` number, double, nullable
    - `match` string, required: How the model was found: `exact`, `base` or `curated`.
    - `mpg` Mpg: City, highway and combined economy in miles per US gallon.
      - `city` integer, nullable
      - `combined` integer, nullable
      - `highway` integer, nullable
    - `range_km` integer, nullable: On a full battery.
    - `range_mi` integer, nullable
    - `second_fuel` string, nullable: A second fuel the vehicle takes, such as `E85` or `Electricity`.
    - `source` string, required: `epa` or `nrcan`.
    - `source_id` string, nullable: EPA's id for the rating. Null for one from Natural Resources Canada.
    - `transmission` string, nullable
  - `vehicle` RecallVehicle, required: The model year an answer is about.
    - `id` string, required: The id of the year, make and model.
    - `make` string, required
    - `model` string, required
    - `year` integer, required

## Other responses

- `400`: `validation_failed`: `country` is not `us` or `ca`.
- `404`: `not_found`: no vehicle has that id. `dataset_unavailable`: this server holds no fuel ratings, or none for the country asked for.
