# Fluids of a model year.

`GET /v1/vehicles/{id}/fluids`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://open.wenmarpro.com`
- URL: `https://open.wenmarpro.com/v1/vehicles/{id}/fluids`
- Auth: none declared

`engine_oil` is the viscosity grade the maker certified the engine
with, as EPA's Fuel Economy Guide records it: not a reading of the
owner's manual, and with no capacity. `engine_oil_checked`,
`transmission`, `coolant`, `refrigerant` and `brake` are records a
person read from the maker's own documents, each with its `source`
and the day it was `checked`. They are empty for a model year nobody
has recorded: nothing is estimated.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

The engine oil grades by engine, and the records read by hand.

- VehicleFluids: The fluids of one model year. `engine_oil` is the grade EPA records. The five lists after `checked_as_of` are records a person read from the maker's own documents, each with its `source` and the day it was `checked`; they are empty for a model year nobody has recorded, and on a server that does not hold the records `checked_as_of` is `null`.
  - `as_of` string, nullable: The day EPA's oil grades were current. `null` on a server without them.
  - `attribution` string[], required
  - `brake` FluidRecord[], required
    - `applies_to` string, nullable: Which transmission or system the record is for, when it says.
    - `capacity_l` number, double, nullable
    - `capacity_qt` number, double, nullable: US liquid quarts.
    - `capacity_written_in` string, nullable: The unit the document printed, `l` or `qt`. The other figure was worked out from it.
    - `charge_g` integer, nullable: Refrigerant charge, in grams.
    - `charge_oz` number, double, nullable: Refrigerant charge, in ounces.
    - `charge_written_in` string, nullable: `g`, `kg`, `oz` or `lb`.
    - `checked` string, required: The day it was read.
    - `engine` EngineRef: A catalog engine of the model year.
      - `id` string, required: The engine's id form, as in a vehicle id.
      - `label` string, required
      - `vin8` string, nullable: The characters in position 8 of a VIN that mean this engine.
    - `grade` string, nullable: Engine oil viscosity, as the document gives it.
    - `market` string, nullable: `us` or `ca` when the document is for one country only.
    - `source` string, required: The document the record was read from.
    - `specification` string, nullable: The maker's specification, or the type of fluid.
    - `with_filter` boolean, nullable: Whether the capacity includes the oil filter.
  - `checked_as_of` string, nullable: The day of the newest hand-read record the server holds, for any vehicle. `null` on a server without them.

- `404`: `not_found`: no vehicle has that id. `dataset_unavailable`: this server holds neither oil grades nor hand-read fluids.
