# Update entity metadata

`PUT /mapi/project/{projectId}/entities/{entityName}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.websitepublisher.ai`

- Auth: OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://api.websitepublisher.ai/dapi/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://api.websitepublisher.ai/dapi/oauth/token`, scopes: `read`, `write`)

Update entity metadata such as plural name, description, or public_read access. Set public_read to true to make entity data accessible without authentication via /mapi/public/{projectId}/{entity}.

## Path parameters

- `projectId` integer, required
- `entityName` string, required

## Request body

- EntityUpdate: Update entity metadata. At least one field required.
  - `plural` string: New plural form of entity name
  - `description` string: New description
  - `public_read` boolean: Enable public read-only access without authentication (default: false)
