# Create an endpoint

`POST /v1/endpoints`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://webhook-studio.com`
- URL: `https://webhook-studio.com/v1/endpoints`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns the ingest url and the signing secret. The secret is returned here and on rotation only.

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string
  - `environment` 'production' | 'staging' | 'sandbox' | 'development'
  - `external_ref` string: Stable caller-chosen name, unique per account. Set it — it is how you find this endpoint again later.
