# Retrieve a WhatsApp sender

`GET /v1/whatsapp/senders/{number}`

Returns the WhatsApp sender registered for the given phone number on the authenticated account.

## Path parameters

- `number` string, required

## Response `200`

The requested WhatsApp sender.

- WhatsAppSender
  - `phone_number` string, required — Sender's phone number in E.164 format.
  - `display_name` string, nullable — Sender's WhatsApp display name.
  - `status` 'banned' | 'connected' | 'deleted' | 'disconnected' | 'flagged' | 'migrated' | 'pending' | 'rate_limited' | 'restricted' | 'unknown' | 'unverified', required — Sender registration status with the provider.
  - `quality_rating` 'high' | 'medium' | 'low' | 'unknown' | 'null', nullable — Sender's messaging quality rating.
  - `message_tier` 'limit_na' | 'limit_250' | 'limit_2k' | 'limit_10k' | 'limit_100k' | 'unlimited' | 'null', nullable — Sender's 24-hour outbound messaging limit tier.

## Other responses

- `400` — Returns when the request body or parameters are invalid.
- `401` — Returns when the request is not authenticated.
- `402` — Returns when the account balance is insufficient.
- `403` — Returns when the account is suspended.
- `404` — Returns when WhatsApp is not available or not enabled for the account, or no sender matches `number`.
- `429` — Returns when the account has exceeded its request rate limit.
