# Trigger a scenario

`POST /v1/voice-campaigns`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.wavix.com`
- URL: `https://api.wavix.com/v1/voice-campaigns`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Launches a voice campaign that places a real outbound call using a pre-configured scenario. Track progress with the returned voice campaign `id`.

## Request body

- object: Scenario and contact details for the campaign.
  - `voice_campaign` VoiceCampaignResponse, required: Represents a voice campaign that places an outbound call running a pre-approved call flow.
    - `callflow_id` integer, required: Unique identifier of the call flow to launch, listed on the Call flows page. Every scenario must be pre-approved by the Wavix Service Operations team before it can be used in production.
    - `caller_id` string, required: Phone number on the account used as the Caller ID for the outbound call, in E.164 format.
    - `contact` string, required: Destination phone number the outbound call is placed to, in E.164 format.
    - `callback_url` string: Webhook URL that receives voice campaign status updates.

## Response `201`

Returns the launched voice campaign.

  - `voice_campaign` object
    - `id` integer: Unique identifier of the voice campaign.
    - `status` string: Current status of the voice campaign, such as `in_progress`.
    - `timestamp` string, date-time: Timestamp when the voice campaign was created, in ISO 8601 format.
    - `caller_id` string: Phone number used as the Caller ID for the outbound call, in E.164 format.
    - `contact` string: Destination phone number the outbound call is placed to, in E.164 format.

## Other responses

- `400`: Request failed. Missing or invalid parameter <param_name>
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Request failed. The feature is disabled for your account.
- `404`: Request failed. An object with the specified ID is not found.
- `422`: Returns when the account has insufficient funds to launch the campaign.
