# Turn an add-on on for this project (owner/admin)

`POST /v1/projects/{project_id}/addons/{addon_id}/enable`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.wavehouse.cloud`
- URL: `https://api.wavehouse.cloud/v1/projects/{project_id}/addons/{addon_id}/enable`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `whc_session`
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

It CHANGES WHAT THE ORG IS BILLED: the org's subscription line for the add-on goes up by one, prorated by the provider. Refused with 402 for an org with no subscription — start a plan with a card first. Idempotent.

## Path parameters

- `project_id` string, required
- `addon_id` string, required: an addon_id from list-project-addons

## Response `200`

OK

- ProjectAddonView
  - `addon_id` string, required
  - `currency` string, required: ISO 4217
  - `enabled` boolean, required
  - `enabled_at` string, date-time: absent while off
  - `monthly_price_micros` integer, required: per project with it on, billed to the org
  - `name` string, required

## Other responses

- `429`: Rate limited, per client IP, API key or org; a client IP is also refused on every route for a while after repeated authentication failures. A limited operation carries RateLimit-Policy and RateLimit on every response; wait Retry-After seconds before retrying.
- `default`: Error
