# Open the payment provider's page that changes the org's card (owner/admin)

`POST /v1/orgs/{org_id}/billing/payment-method`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.wavehouse.cloud`
- URL: `https://api.wavehouse.cloud/v1/orgs/{org_id}/billing/payment-method`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `whc_session`
  - HTTP bearer

Returns a short-lived URL. The card is entered on the provider's page and never reaches us; the new card is charged from the next payment on, and the page returns to the billing page. 409 for an org with no billing account yet.

  - `url` string, required: short-lived; the page changes the card and nothing else, then returns to the billing page

## Other responses

- `429`: Rate limited, per client IP, API key or org; a client IP is also refused on every route for a while after repeated authentication failures. A limited operation carries RateLimit-Policy and RateLimit on every response; wait Retry-After seconds before retrying.
- `default`: Error
