# Interrupt the turn running on the run behind a conversation

`POST /agent/conversations/{conversation_id}/interrupt`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.warp.dev/api/v1`
- URL: `https://app.warp.dev/api/v1/agent/conversations/{conversation_id}/interrupt`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

The same operation as `POST /agent/runs/{runId}/interrupt`, addressed
by the conversation the run is serving. The run is picked with the
same policy as the conversation follow-up route, and the caller must
be able to view the conversation and the resolved run.

## Path parameters

- `conversation_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `202`

Interrupt accepted

- ConversationInterruptResponse: Acknowledgement of an interrupt accepted through a conversation-keyed route.
  - `run_id` string, required: The run whose turn is being interrupted.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid conversation ID
- `401`: Authentication required
- `403`: No permission to view the conversation or to steer its run
- `404`: Conversation not found
- `409`: The run cannot be interrupted. `reason` is one of `no_run`, `no_live_session`, `session_ended` or `unsupported_harness`.
- `500`: Internal server error
