# Serve Distress Teaser

Serve the latest Distress Report teaser PDF. No auth required.

The teaser redacts company names; the un-redacted version is delivered to
press (via /press) and Risk Signal API subscribers (via /pricing).

Returns 404 until a distress report has actually been published. As of
2026-09-05 none ever has: content/generate_distress_report.py exists but
reports/distress/ is absent on the server and no scheduled job runs it,
so this endpoint has advertised an artifact that was never produced. The
404 body says so rather than implying a transient outage. Publishing the
first report is an owner decision (see docs/commercial/OWNER-ACTIONS.md).
