# Restore a deleted mailbox

`POST /mailboxes/{id}/restore`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://warmysender.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://warmysender.com/api/v1/mailboxes/{id}/restore`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Brings a soft-deleted mailbox back with its warmup history intact and re-runs the connection test (status returns to "created" → "connected"). Warmup starts disabled; enable it once connected. Blocked if an active mailbox already uses the same email.

Required scope: `mailboxes:write`.

Poll GET /mailboxes/{id} until status is "connected".

## Other responses

- `401`: `unauthorized` — Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: `insufficient_scope` — The API key lacks the scope this endpoint requires.
- `404`: `not_found` — No soft-deleted mailbox with that id.
- `409`: `duplicate_email` — An active mailbox already uses this email.
- `429`: `rate_limited` — Too many requests — slow down and retry after the Retry-After delay.
