# List the countries the provider sells numbers in

`GET /api/v1/phone-numbers/countries`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://wardenpoint.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://wardenpoint.com/api/v1/phone-numbers/countries`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Reads the provider catalogue, not our database: every call goes out to the provider and costs us a request, so it is rate-limited more tightly than the rest of this API and should be cached by the caller rather than polled. Use it to narrow down what to ask the availability endpoint for.

## Response `200`

The countries, in the shape the provider returns them.

- object
  - `data` object[]

## Other responses

- `401`: API key missing, invalid, revoked or expired.
- `403`: API key lacks the config.read ability.
- `429`: Too many catalogue lookups in a short window. The catalogue lives at the provider.
- `500`: The provider could not be reached or answered with an error. Worth retrying — nothing about the request was wrong.
