# Update a draft

`PUT /templates/{id}`

## Request

Revise a draft in place, re-running the same validator that gates creation.

- `id` string, required

  - `name` string
  - `description` string
  - `channel` 'RCS' | 'WHATSAPP': Move the template to another channel. Requires the matching add-on brand; omit to leave it where it is.
  - `category` 'MARKETING' | 'UTILITY' | 'AUTHENTICATION'
  - `content` object: Full replacement TemplateContent (not a deep merge). Must include a non-empty smsFallback.
  - `tags` string[]
  - `knowledgeDoc` string

## Response `200`

Success.

- `400`: Arguments failed validation.
- `401`: Missing or invalid agent key.
- `403`: Key does not hold the templates:write scope.
- `429`: Rate limited.
