# Create an audience

`POST /audiences`

## Request

Create a new contact list for an agent to send against.

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required
  - `description` string
  - `source` string: Free-text provenance, e.g. "Jaipur wedding planners leads.csv".
  - `contacts` object[]
    - `firstName` string
    - `lastName` string
    - `number` string: Phone number; required for the contact to be reachable.
    - `email` string
    - `attributes` object

## Response `200`

Success.

- `400`: Arguments failed validation.
- `401`: Missing or invalid agent key.
- `403`: Key does not hold the audiences:write scope.
- `429`: Rate limited.
