# Warm a Solana pair before you quote it

`POST /svm/warm`

Say "I am going to ask about this pair" before you know the amount. Returns immediately and reads pool state in the background. Two of the four Solana venues, orca and meteora, are not APIs: their price is computed from pool state read live from the chain, and a cold quote will not wait for it, so it answers with two venues instead of four. The seconds you spend deciding how much are the seconds the read needs. amountIn may be "0": the amount does not change which pools are read. Optional, and it never slows the caller down.

  - `tokenIn` string, required: Mint address, or the symbol of a VERIFIED token. Symbols resolve only against the verified list on purpose: on Solana anyone can mint a token carrying another one's symbol, name and icon, and the mint is the only real identity. CASE-SENSITIVE.

  - `amount` string: Human decimal, e.g. "50". Use this OR amountIn.
  - `amountIn` string: Raw integer string in tokenIn smallest unit.
  - `tokenInDecimals` integer: Optional. Resolved server-side when omitted.
  - `tokenOutDecimals` integer: Optional. Resolved server-side when omitted.
  - `slippageBps` integer: Optional, a sane default applies.
  - `receiver` string: Optional: deliver the output to this address instead of the signing wallet.

## Response `200`

Accepted. The reading happens after the response.
