# Create customer card

`POST /customers/{customer_id}/cards`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.vrio.app`
- URL: `https://api.vrio.app/customers/{customer_id}/cards`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Add new customer card. When a new card is added, Vrio will attempt an authorization on merchants for pending transactions to tokenize the card for recurring transactions.

## Request body

- object
  - `card_type_id` integer, required: Required when passing payment method ID = 1 and when not passing a customer card ID. * `1` - Mastercard * `2` - Visa * `3` - Discover * `4` - American Express * `5` - Digital Wallet * `6` - ACH
  - `card_number` string, required: Full Card Number.
  - `card_exp_month` integer, required: Card Expiration month (08).
  - `card_exp_year` integer, required: Card Expiration year (2018).
  - `card_cvv` string, required: Card Security Card.
  - `make_default` boolean: Pass as true to card the address on recurring and pending orders.
  - `orders` integer[]: Pass an array of order ids to update.
  - `customers_address_billing_id` integer: Pass a billing address to associate with that card.
