# Historical metrics for an instance

`GET /v1/instances/{id}/runtime/metrics`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.vozora.io`
- URL: `https://api.vozora.io/v1/instances/{id}/runtime/metrics`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Bounded history for the requested metric keys. series and range are REQUIRED. resolution_seconds and retention_seconds echo what the provider ACTUALLY selected, which may be coarser or shorter than asked for — read them rather than assuming you got what you requested. A missing sample is null, never zero: a flat-zero graph is a lie about observed data.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `series` string, required
- `range` integer, required
- `resolution` string

## Response `200`

OK

- RuntimePublicMetrics
  - `series` RuntimePublicMetricSeries[]
    - `descriptor` RuntimeMetricDescriptor
      - `key` 'cpu.usage' | 'memory.usage' | 'disk.read' | 'disk.write' | 'network.ingress' | 'network.egress'
      - `kind` 'gauge' | 'counter' | 'rate'
      - `unit` string: "percent" | "bytes" | "bytes_per_second"
    - `points` RuntimePublicSeriesPoint[]
      - `at` string
      - `value` number
    - `resolution_seconds` integer
    - `retention_seconds` integer

## Other responses

- `400`: bad_series, bad_range or bad_resolution
- `401`: invalid or missing API key
- `403`: the key lacks runtime:read
- `404`: no such instance
- `429`: runtime_rate_limited
- `503`: runtime observation unavailable
