# Acknowledge a reinstall's recovery-critical secrets

`POST /v1/instances/{id}/app/reinstall-acknowledgements`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Always refuses on this contract. The acknowledgement receipt attests that a person was shown each recovery-critical value and saved it, and is bound to a freshly reauthenticated browser session — evidence an API key cannot present. Acknowledge in the dashboard, which is also where such a server must be reinstalled.

- `401`: invalid or missing API key
- `403`: the key lacks apps:write
- `404`: no such instance
- `422`: recovery_acknowledgement_unavailable — acknowledge in the dashboard
