# Detach a policy from an instance

`DELETE /v1/firewalls/attachments/{attachmentID}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.vozora.io`
- URL: `https://api.vozora.io/v1/firewalls/attachments/{attachmentID}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Removes the policy from the instance. The instance is left with no firewall policy applied.

## Path parameters

- `attachmentID` string, required

## Response `204`

deleted

## Other responses

- `401`: invalid or missing API key
- `403`: the key lacks firewall:write
- `404`: no such resource, or it belongs to another account
