# Lookup meters by postcode

`GET /v1/meter/lookup`

Search for meters by postcode. Returns a list of addresses with their corresponding addressIds. Requires hasMeterLookup permission.

## Query parameters

- `postcode` string, required
- `fuelType` 'electricity' | 'gas', required

## Response `200`

Meter lookup results

- MeterLookupResult[]
  - `addressId` string — Unique address identifier for subsequent lookups
  - `address` string — Full address
  - `postcode` string — Postcode

## Other responses

- `4XX` — Client error response
