# Create shared storage volume

`POST /storage/`

## Request

## Request body

- StorageCreate
  - `size_in_gb` integer, required: Number of gigabytes to allocate for the storage volume
  - `name` string, required: Must use lowercase, alphanumeric characters, '-', '_', or '.', and must start and end with alphanumerics. Must be at most 60 characters in length. Duplicate names are not allowed.
  - `order_ids` string[]: Active bare-metal rental IDs to which this storage volume will be attached upon creation.
