# Cancel one execution

`POST /v1/workflows/{id}/executions/{executionId}/cancel`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Cancels an `active` or `waiting` execution. No-op error if it has already finished.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required
- `executionId` string, required

## Response `200`

Cancelled.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: Not found.
- `409`: Already finished and can't be cancelled (`invalid_state`).
- `422`: Request validation failed (code `validation_error`, 422).
