# Delete an inbox

`DELETE /v1/inboxes/{inboxId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.volanea.com`
- URL: `https://api.volanea.com/v1/inboxes/{inboxId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Stops receiving and sending. Its threads and messages stay readable by id. The address is retired, not freed: nobody can create it again, so replies meant for you can never reach someone else.
