# Check whether the assistant builder is available.

`GET /ai_builder/status`

Not released and not yet evaluated by a human. There is no on/off setting: `available` is true wherever the platform key is configured.

Reports whether the builder can be used and the input limits the client should enforce. It answers 200 with `available` false for a caller who is not allowed to use the builder, and when the service cannot be reached, so a client can hide the entry point without handling an error. The answer is cached in each server process for up to 30 seconds (5 seconds after a failure), so a change in availability can take that long to show, and two replicas can differ for a moment. When `available` is false, ignore the two limit values: they are 0 for a caller who may not use the builder and for a failed check, and they are the configured limits when the builder has no key.
