# Preview a cloned voice

`POST /actions/voices_preview_clone`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.voicecheap.ai/v1`

- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Create a temporary voice clone preview from 1–3 owned audio uploads with explicit permission. Uses the app’s clone trial allowance. Save the selected preview before its expiry to retain it.

  - `requestId` string, uuid: UUID v4 for this action. Reuse the same ID with identical arguments on retries.
  - `name` string, required
  - `samples` object[], required
    - `fileKey` string, required: An uploaded audio fileKey returned by uploads_complete for this account.
  - `hasPermission` true, required: Confirm that you have permission to clone the person whose voice is in every sample.
  - `trimToMaxDuration` boolean
  - `language` string

## Response `200`

Completed result or saved request state.

- `202`: The action is running. Poll action_request_get with requestId and operation.
- `400`: Invalid arguments.
