# Translate subtitles

`POST /actions/subtitles_translate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.voicecheap.ai/v1`

- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Translate SRT or VTT subtitles, preserving timing and formatting. Saves the result in subtitle translation history. Returns a compact saved-result reference; use its getAction or downloadAction to retrieve the complete output.

- `202`: The action is running. Poll action_request_get with requestId and operation.
- `400`: Invalid arguments.
- `401`: Invalid or expired API key.
