# Convert text to high-quality speech using neural voice synthesis

`POST /api/text-to-speech`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://platform.vocametrix.com`
- URL: `https://platform.vocametrix.com/api/text-to-speech`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

## Request body

- object
  - `text` string, required: The text to convert to speech (max 1000 characters)
  - `voice` string: Voice name (optional, default: en-US-AriaNeural)
  - `style` string: Speaking style (optional, default: friendly)
  - `rate` string: Speaking rate (optional, default: 1.0)
  - `language` string: Language locale (optional, default: en-US)

## Response `200`

Successful response

- object
  - `success` boolean: Boolean indicating if synthesis was successful
  - `audio` string, byte: Base64 encoded audio data
  - `format` string: Audio format (wav)
  - `voice` string: Voice used for synthesis
  - `style` string: Speaking style applied
  - `textLength` string: Length of input text processed

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request — missing or invalid parameter
- `401`: Unauthorized — missing or invalid API key
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Server error
