# Get a song

`GET /songs/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://vocaless.app/api/v1`
- URL: `https://vocaless.app/api/v1/songs/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Once `status` is `ready`, the response includes presigned download URLs for the instrumental and vocal stems.

Pass `?include=original` to also get a URL for the file you uploaded, which is useful if you keep no local copy. It is opt-in because you are billed for storing the original either way, but signing it costs a lookup this endpoint does not otherwise need, and polling a running separation is its main job.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `include` 'original'

## Response `200`

Success

- object
  - `created_at` string, required
  - `duration_seconds` number, nullable, required

  - `name` string, required
  - `status` 'error' | 'ready' | 'separating' | 'uploaded' | 'uploading', required
  - `instrumental_url` string
  - `original_url` string
  - `vocals_url` string

## Other responses

- `400`: `INVALID_REQUEST` — The request body or query failed validation.
- `401`: `UNAUTHORIZED` — Missing, malformed, or revoked API key.
- `404`: `NOT_FOUND` — No such song, or it belongs to another account.
- `429`: `RATE_LIMITED` — Too many requests for this API key.
- `503`: `STORAGE_UNAVAILABLE` — The storage backend could not be reached. If you use your own bucket, check that it is up, then retry.
