# Delete a song and its files

`DELETE /songs/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://vocaless.app/api/v1`
- URL: `https://vocaless.app/api/v1/songs/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes the song row and every stored object for it. Stored audio accrues storage cost, so delete what you no longer need.

## Other responses

- `401`: `UNAUTHORIZED` — Missing, malformed, or revoked API key.
- `409`: `SONG_SEPARATING` — The song cannot be deleted while its separation runs.
- `429`: `RATE_LIMITED` — Too many requests for this API key.
