# Get Skill

`GET /v1/skills/{skill_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.vlm.run` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.vlm.run/v1/skills/{skill_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Get a skill by ID.

- Authenticated user: can access their org's skills and public skills.
- Guest / unauthenticated user: can only access public skills.

## Path parameters

- `skill_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- SkillInfoResponse: Skill information response.
  - `id` string, required: Unique skill identifier
  - `name` string, required: Name of the skill
  - `description` string, required: Description of the skill
  - `skill_version` string: Version of the skill
  - `skill_uri` string, nullable: GCS URI of the skill zip file
  - `is_public` boolean: Whether the skill is publicly accessible
  - `created_at` string, date-time, nullable: Date and time when the skill was created
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, nullable: Date and time when the skill was updated
