# Get File By Hash

`GET /v1/files/hash/{file_hash}`

## Request

Check if a file exists by its md5 hash.

## Path parameters

- `file_hash` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- StoreFileResponse: Response to the file upload API.
  - `id` string, nullable: Unique identifier of the file
  - `filename` string, nullable, required: Name of the file
  - `bytes` integer, required: Size of the file in bytes
  - `purpose` 'assistants' | 'batch' | 'fine-tune' | 'vision' | 'datasets', required: Purpose of the file
  - `created_at` string, date-time: Date and time when the file was created (in UTC timezone)
  - `object` 'file': Type of the file
  - `public_url` string, nullable: Presigned URL of the file
