# Upload a new image

`POST /images`

## Request body

- object
  - `image` string, required: Base64 of the image. Height and width of the image should be minimum 50px Images above 67,108,864 total pixels (8192×8192) are rejected, and images larger than 4096px on either side are downscaled to fit. This is limited by AWS Lambdas: the full request size is limited to 6MB.
  - `name` string
  - `projectId` string, uuid: Optional project ID to associate the image with. If not provided, the image is added to the project this connection is pointed at, or to the most recently updated project when it is pointed at none.

Successfully uploaded

- object: ID of the created image
  - `id` string, uuid
  - `webUrl` string: Direct link to view the uploaded image in the app, in the project it was added to.
