# Get video download link

`GET /videos/{platform}/{platformVideoId}/download`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://viral.app/api/v1`
- URL: `https://viral.app/api/v1/videos/{platform}/{platformVideoId}/download`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Fetches an MP4 download link for a specific TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or Snapchat video. A file viral.app already stores is linked from its own storage, free of charge; otherwise the link is a temporary one from the platform. A TikTok photo post downloads as a ZIP of its images and sound, free when viral.app already stores it. Requires an Ultra-or-higher plan.

⚠️ Consumes extra credits: 3 credits per download, 1 credit when no file is available; stored and cached files are free.

## Path parameters

- `platform` 'facebook' | 'instagram' | 'tiktok' | 'youtube' | 'snapchat', required: Social media platform (facebook, instagram, tiktok, youtube, snapchat)
- `platformVideoId` string, required: Native platform video id found in the URL of the video

## Response `200`

OK

- object: Direct HTTPS MP4 URL for the requested video (for a TikTok photo post, a ZIP of its images and sound) plus a flag indicating if an extra credit was consumed. A file viral.app already stores is served from its own storage for free; otherwise the link comes from the platform. Links may include query parameters for authorization and can expire.
