# React to a chat message

`POST /chat/threads/{chatId}/messages/{messageId}/reactions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://viral.app/api/v1`

- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Adds an emoji reaction to a message; an API key reacts as its owner. `emoji` must be exactly one emoji — skin tones, flags, keycaps and sequences such as 👩🏽‍💻 included; text or several emoji return 400. Adding a reaction that already exists changes nothing.
