# Delete a group chat

`DELETE /chat/groups/{chatId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://viral.app/api/v1`
- URL: `https://viral.app/api/v1/chat/groups/{chatId}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Deletes a group conversation with all of its messages and files, for everyone. This cannot be undone. Direct threads cannot be deleted (400).
