# Open the chat with an applicant

`POST /applications/{id}/chat`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://viral.app/api/v1`
- URL: `https://viral.app/api/v1/applications/{id}/chat`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Returns the conversation with the applicant, creating it if the organization has not written to them yet.

- `id` string, required: Job application ID
