# Update Internal User Settings

`PATCH /update/internal_user_settings`

## Request

Update the default internal user parameters for SSO users.
These settings will be applied to new users who sign in via SSO.

## Request body

- DefaultInternalUserParams: Default parameters to apply when a new user signs in via SSO or is created on the /user/new API endpoint
  - `user_role` 'internal_user' | 'internal_user_viewer' | 'proxy_admin' | 'proxy_admin_viewer', nullable: Default role assigned to new users created
  - `max_budget` number, nullable: Default maximum budget (in USD) for new users created
  - `budget_duration` string, nullable: Default budget duration for new users (e.g. 'daily', 'weekly', 'monthly')
  - `models` string[], nullable: Default list of models that new users can access
  - `teams` union: Default teams for new users created
    - string[]
    - NewUserRequestTeam[]
      - `team_id` string, required
      - `max_budget_in_team` number, nullable
      - `user_role` 'user' | 'admin'
