# Upload one design file (raw request body, up to 100 MB)

`POST /api/v1/rfq/files`

## Request

STEP/STP, IGES/IGS, STL, 3MF, OBJ, DXF, DWG, PDF, ZIP. Without credentials the file is unattached and expires after 24 hours; pass its file_id to POST /api/v1/rfq. With a bearer token and rfq_id it is attached to that request.

## Query parameters

- `name` string, required
- `rfq_id` string

## Response `201`

file_id, name, format, bytes, sha256

## Other responses

- `413`: File too large
- `415`: Type not accepted or content does not match
- `429`: Rate limited
- `507`: Storage full
