# Create Comment

`POST /v4/livecomments/{section_uuid}/{content_container_uuid}/comments`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://livecomments.viafoura.co`
- URL: `https://livecomments.viafoura.co/v4/livecomments/{section_uuid}/{content_container_uuid}/comments`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `X-REQUEST_SIGNATURE`

Create a comment in a comments container.

## Path parameters

- `section_uuid` string, uuid, required
- `content_container_uuid` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- ContentRequest, nullable
  - `content` string, nullable
  - `media_uuids` string[], nullable
  - `media_attachments` MediaAttachment[]
    - `media_uuid` string, uuid
    - `alt_text` string
  - `links` ContentLink[], nullable: Ordered list of URL preview links to attach to the comment. Only honoured when the comment URL preview cards setting is on; otherwise dropped. The reader's client renders the card.
    - `url` string, required
    - `show_preview` boolean: Author's intent to show or hide the preview card for this link.
    - `position` integer: Response-only; zero-based index of the link in submitted order. Ignored on requests.
  - `metadata` ContentInstanceMetadata, nullable: Metadata captured or assigned during content creation
    - `author_host_section_uuid` string, uuid, nullable: Identifier for where the author of the content is hosted. Facilitates looking up information about the author
    - `origin_title` string, nullable: Title of the location where the content was created
    - `origin_summary` string, nullable: Short description about the location where the content was created
    - `origin_url` string, nullable: Location where the content was created
    - `origin_image_url` string, nullable: Location of the icon or thumbnail representing the origin
    - `origin_image_alt` string, nullable: Text description of the origin_image_url
    - `origin_ip_address` string, nullable: Ip address of the user during content creation. Only returned to client permission bearers
