# Fetch a product line

`GET /ext/v2/product-lines/{product_line_id}/`

Fetches a catalog product line by its ID.

A **product line** is the top level of the catalog hierarchy, representing a brand or product family (e.g., "Heartgard Plus"). Each product line contains one or more products, and is associated with a manufacturer and category.

- `product_line_id` integer, required: The ID of the catalog product line

  - `id` integer, required: Unique identifier for the product line.
  - `image_url` string, nullable: URL to the product line's image
  - `manufacturer_id` integer, required: ID of the manufacturer that produces this product line.
  - `manufacturer_name` string, required: The manufacturer of the Product Line
  - `modified` string, date-time, required: The datetime this object was last modified; changes to related entities will not update this field.
  - `prescription_required` boolean, required: Indicates whether the Product Line requires a prescription
  - `primary_category_name` string, nullable: The primary product category this product line belongs to.
  - `refrigeration_required` boolean, required: Indicates whether the Product Line requires refrigeration
  - `secondary_category_names` string[], nullable: Additional product categories this product line belongs to.
