# Add the people it’s for

`POST /v1/letters/{letter}/recipients`

## Request

A list of people, one letter each. Full postal addresses with the country. For a letter written for each person, put their whole letter in letter.

Permission: **Read and write**.

  - `list_name` string, required: The list they’re kept in, to reuse.
  - `people` object[], required: One letter each. Full postal addresses with the country.
    - `name` string
    - `company` string
    - `address_line_1` string
    - `address_line_2` string
    - `address_line_3` string
    - `city` string
    - `county` string
    - `postcode` string
    - `country` string
    - `letter` string: Their whole letter, for a letter written for each person.
    - `logo` string: Their company’s logo, for a letter that prints each person’s (their_logo): the company’s website, where it’s found for you, a link to the picture, or the id of a logo you uploaded (Upload someone’s logo).
    - `fields` object: Your own fields, used in the words as {{field_name}}.

## Response `200`

What it did, as JSON, with the mode it ran in.

- Answer
  - `mode` 'sandbox' | 'live', required: Which the request ran in: the key’s.

## Other responses

- `400`: What was sent needs changing. The error says what.
- `401`: No key, or one that’s been revoked.
- `403`: The key’s permission isn’t enough: this needs Read and write.
- `404`: There’s nothing with that id, for this key.
- `429`: More than 120 requests in a minute.
