# Remove People from Approved Lists

`PATCH /v2/guest/approved_lists/remove`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.verkada.com`
- URL: `https://api.verkada.com/v2/guest/approved_lists/remove`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-verkada-auth`
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Removes one or more people from one or more approved lists.
If approved_list_ids is omitted, removes the person from all lists.
People must be identified by either person_id or external_id.

## Request body

- RemovePeopleRequest: Request to remove people from approved lists
  - `people` PersonToRemove[], required: List of people to remove from approved lists.
    - `approved_list_ids` string[]: List of approved list IDs to remove the person from. Omitting will remove the person from all lists.
    - `external_id` string: Stable external identifier. Either person_id or external_id must be provided, but not both.
    - `person_id` string: Verkada's internal identifier for the person. Either person_id or external_id must be provided, but not both.

## Response `200`

OK

- CountResponse: Response containing a count of affected records
  - `count` integer, required: Number of records added, removed, or changed by the operation.
