# Move Camera to PTZ Preset

`POST /v2/cameras/{camera_id}/ptz/position`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.verkada.com`
- URL: `https://api.verkada.com/v2/cameras/{camera_id}/ptz/position`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-verkada-auth`
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Move a PTZ camera to one of its saved preset positions. The camera begins moving
as soon as the request is accepted; it may take a few seconds for the camera to
physically reach the preset position.

### Error Responses

| Code | Message | Description |
|------|---------|-------------|
| 404 | PTZ preset not found for this camera | The preset does not exist for this camera |
| 409 | Camera is not connected | The camera is offline and cannot be moved |

## Path parameters

- `camera_id` string, required

## Request body

- CameraPtzPositionRequest: Request schema for setting a camera's PTZ position to a saved preset
  - `preset_id` string, required: The unique identifier of the PTZ preset position to move the camera to.

## Response `200`
