# Unlock Door as Admin

`POST /access/v1/door/admin_unlock`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.verkada.com`
- URL: `https://api.verkada.com/access/v1/door/admin_unlock`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-verkada-auth`
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Sends a request to unlock a door with `door_id` irrespective of any user's door access privileges. The door_id is passed into the JSON object in the body of the request. The successful response will contain the unlocked `door_id` and the duration of the unlock.

## Request body

- PostAdminAPIUnlockBodyV1: Admin unlock body. No user information required in the body.
  - `door_id` string, uuid: The UUID of the door to unlock.

## Response `200`

OK

- PostAPIUnlockResponseV1: Returned on a successful unlock.
  - `door_id` string: The unique identifier of the door that was unlocked.
  - `unlock_duration` integer: The duration of the unlock.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
