# Delete License Plate from User

`DELETE /access/v1/credentials/license_plate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.verkada.com`
- URL: `https://api.verkada.com/access/v1/credentials/license_plate`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-verkada-auth`
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Deletes a license plate credential from a specified user by providing the user_id or the external_id, the org_id, and the license_plate_number.

## Query parameters

- `external_id` string: A unique identifier managed externally provided by the customer.
- `user_id` string, uuid: The unique identifier of the user managed by Verkada.
- `license_plate_number` string, required: The unique license plate number identifying a license plate credential for a user.
