# Upload Profile Photo

`PUT /access/v1/access_users/user/profile_photo`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.verkada.com`
- URL: `https://api.verkada.com/access/v1/access_users/user/profile_photo`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-verkada-auth`
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

This uploads a profile photo for the specified user.

## Query parameters

- `user_id` string, uuid: The unique identifier of the user managed by Verkada.
- `external_id` string: A unique identifier managed externally provided by the customer.
- `overwrite` boolean: Whether to overwrite the existing profile photo.

## Request body `multipart/form-data`

- UploadProfilePhotoBody
  - `file` string: Profile photo file path (formatted @/<image-path>)

## Response `200`

OK

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `404`: Not Found
- `409`: Conflict
- `413`: Request Entity Too Large
- `422`: Unprocessable Entity
