# Create a Diskgroup

Create a diskgroup with specified disks.

## Request body

- object
  - `Name` string, required: Name of the Diskgroup.
  - `NodeName` string: If specified, diskgroup creation will be performed on that node. Else, master node will be chosen internally. For private diskgroup, nodename is a compulsory parameter.
  - `DiskList` object[], required: List of the disks desried for diskgroup creation
    - `DaId` string, uri: Disk access identifier
    - `DmName` string: Disk media name
  - `Shared` boolean: Specify true or false based on diskgroup type
  - `FSS` boolean: Specify true or false based on your requirement to use DAS disks
  - `Encrypted` boolean: Specify true or false based on whether encryption is required or not
  - `Seed` boolean: Specify true or false based on your requirement to protect your cluster from a preexisting network partition
  - `Version` integer: Diskgroup version
  - `Minor` integer: Specifies a base volume device minor number for a disk group
  - `Nconfig` string: Specifies the number of configuration database copies to be maintained for a disk group
  - `Nlog` string: Specifies the number of kernel log copies to be maintained for a disk group
  - `Coordinator` boolean: Specifies whether a disk group is the coordinator for the I/O fencing feature of Cluster Server (VCS)
  - `SameEnckey` boolean: Specify true or false based on whether encryption key is same for all encrypted volumes in diskgroup or not

## Response `200`

The request has succeeded.

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: The requested operation requires authentication.
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Object that the endpoint is working on is not found.
